We have a new event we’re hosting in September as a kickoff to the season. With a goal to grow and expand our club in both the number of skaters and in opportunities for skaters, we are planning our 2025 Skating Sampler! This is an open house style event geared towards those in the area who may not know we exist and want to try skating. We want to provide skaters with a warm, welcoming environment where they feel they will be able to build confidence, strength, and lifelong memories.
Skaters will be placed into groups and move through a number of on-ice stations, including a 20 minute lesson, games and more. Everyone who attends will be placed into door prize drawings.
The event is FREE for new* skaters of all ages and abilities from no skating experience up to Basic 6, so come check us out! Stations will be led by SFSC coaches and upper level (Pre-Free Skate and up) skaters. Current members, or members of other clubs, will have a $20 fee, which can be waived by bringing a friend who is new* to skating.
(*new to skating is defined as not currently a member of a figure skating club). We will welcome all as long as space allows. Outside of this event we are always open to sharing ice with members of other clubs who just love to skate. Reach out for ice times and season package details.
