2025 Sierra Writers Conference

Writers and creators require space, intellectual context, and community to thrive. Whether an aspiring writer, an expert, or simply an admirer of the craft, we seek environments that connect us to our interests, to networks that help us achieve our goals, provide encouragement, and develop relationships. The theme for this year’s Sierra Writers Conference is ecosystems, a recognition that like all living things, writers, craft, and environments are interconnected.

The theme is also a call to action as we consume and create to remember our environments, natural or social. They are fragile and should be handled with kindness.
