Join us January 11th for our 2025 Relay For Life of Erie County, PA Event Season Kick Off and participate in the worldwide #RelayFirstLap Celebration. We will take our lap around 10:45 a.m. and encourage anyone that's involved with the event, or would like to be, to join us for this fun and informational day!

EDIT#2: We've secured a new venue, same date (January 11th), same time from (9:30am - 11 am), same strong 80s vibe! We will now be gathering at Brookside Volunteer Fire Station, 3560 Athens St, Erie, PA 16510
EDIT#1: Hello Relayers! Previously and currently registered participants should be receiving a paper invite in the mail this week that looks very similar to the header image. This was excitedly dropped off to the post office on the 6th.
In the days that followed our planned kick off venue, Gem City Skate, subsequently sustained heavy snow damage. A section of their go fund me page reads, "We are reaching out with an urgent update regarding Gem City Skate. The recent historic snowfall in Erie, PA, has caused significant damage to the rink's roof, leading to a collapse that has severely compromised the building's structural integrity. Despite Mikhayla and Sierra Dugan's diligent efforts to clear the snow, several rafters have sustained major damage. Local authorities have mandated the rink's closure until comprehensive repairs are completed."
As a planning team we are once again faced with changing up venue plans due to the weather but I have full faith they will figure it out, just as they have in the past. So, for the time being, please keep January 11th on your calendars and we will be in touch in a week or so with either a change of venue information or change of date and venue. The planning team will meet for their regularly scheduled December meeting Tuesday evening, December 10th so we will be moving quickly to make the necessary adjustments. Anyone with suggested venue ideas or connections is encouraged to reply to this email so I can share those ideas with your planning team.
