2025 RGME Autumn Symposium (3-day)

This Symposium presents the second of two Symposia for 2025 devoted to "Agents and Agencies".

Following up the explorations of the Spring Symposium, we turn to consider the 'afterlives' of books once they reach their audience, whether through the marketplace of other modes of presentation and distribution. Such conditions, more often than not, might acquire a life of their own, as readers, annotators, thieves, and others took a hand in shaping or reshaping the destinies of the books, those agents, and book history.
