Is YOUR community a great place to live for all ages? Which Oregon city or community do you think scores high for livability? Join AARP Public Policy Senior Strategic Policy Advisor Jana Lynott and AARP Oregon Engagement Director Bandana Shrestha to learn about and practice using the AARP Livability Index to:

create a baseline assessment of livability in your community;
compare the attributes and features of livability in different location; and
track changes in your community over time.

This interactive webinar will also help participants to understand the relationship between the Livability index and AARP’s Age-Friendly Community Network.
The AARP Livability Index (doc) was developed by the AARP Public Policy Institute as a standard to help evaluate community policies, compare communities and measure livability. The Index was publicly launched on April 20, 2015. The Institute promotes development of sound, creative policies to address our common need for economic security, health care, and quality of life and is excited to provide a detailed index to assist local policy makers and residents with identifying areas of priority for community development.
