Join us IAR Vice-President of Public Affairs Chris Watts and Director of Data Analytics Matt Nowlin join MIBOR’s Northside Division to present a 2025 state and local real estate outlook and dive into the data driving the housing market – the economy and employment, population growth, affordability and the residential inventory shortage.

Chris Watts

Chris is a native of Aurora, Indiana, and is a graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis. Chris Watts is Vice-President of Public Affairs at the Indiana Association of REALTORS® (IAR), the state’s largest professional trade organization. He joined IAR in mid-2022 and oversees marketing, internal and external communications, research and data initiatives. Previously, he served as President of the Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute, the state’s only ongoing source of independent research and analysis of state and local tax and budget issues. Earlier in his career, Watts was Vice-President of Communications & Research for the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), a regional CEO alliance supporting economic development. He has also worked with the Indy Chamber and clients in advanced manufacturing, higher education and technology as a public affairs consultant.

Matt Nowlin is Director of Analytics at the Indiana Association of REALTORS®. He focuses on developing interactive data platforms and research to support REALTORS, decision-makers, and community development efforts. He was previously Community Analysis Manager at the Polis Center, a research center at IU Indianapolis, where he developed research and online tools focused on neighborhood data, community developments, economics, and quality of life. Prior to that, Matt was a transportation planner with the Indianapolis MPO. Matt is from Columbus, Indiana. He earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University and his master’s degree from Ball State University.
