Join us for our 10th annual Rainbow Baby Event
October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss month.
This is a free event to participate in. I would like to recognize and honor my families who have been the 1 in 4.
Each mom will be able to have spouse/partner join in the individual photos after the large group ones.
I want to recognize the impact of child loss on the family unit as a whole as well as celebrate the joy of our rainbow babies together. Families are welcome to bring momentos for the family photo/mom and baby photo (ie framed photo of their angel, stuffed animal, etc)
For the first look:
Please have everyone in white/cream (can have normal colored bottoms) except the child who is your rainbow baby (they can wear red, yellow, orange, blue, green, or purple). All ages welcome!
Second look: Moms who are expecting their rainbow or who have a rainbow under the age of 3 are able to participate in our second look. This look would be the moms in colored dresses (red, pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange) and the rainbow baby (if already born) in white. I do have a large collection of dresses for moms to borrow for this look. This will take place after the first look and all of the mom/baby photos are complete.

Location will be outdoors at Walnut Creek
I would love to have all my moms from prior years return again this year with their respective Rainbow babies (and any new babes who have joined us since years prior)
**For any NEW moms interested in participating babies must be age 2 or younger, boys and girls welcome. **
To wear:
Moms in white (preferably white dresses or white shirt and bottoms)
babies/toddlers will be in solid color dress/outfit in one of the colors of the rainbow (red, yellow, green, blue, purple, etc), please choose your color below.
Each mom and baby/family will receive 2 digital images with a print release via direct download.
I will do one large group photo of everyone together, one group photo of the returning moms from last year and one of all the new moms from this year and then individuals of each mom and baby, possibly groupings of each color depending on participation.
Images will be shared on Facebook and social media as a way to create awareness and to allow other mothers who have experienced a loss to know that they are not alone.
Model release will be required.
Location information:
We will be meeting at Walnut Creek off of 96th and highway 370. Please take Schram road to Turkey road and turn north to enter the park. Follow the road around and on your left will be a fenced area that is a dog park and a white gravel road. Turn there. We will be at the first parking lot spot. Its an open field area with a covered picnic table/bench.

Game Plan:
Our plan is to start promptly with the large group photo at 430pm. I will work on getting everyone organized together by color starting with red, then yellow, orange, green, blue, purple. With a group this large we may need a few mamas to kneel or squat down in the front to stagger out the rows so everyone can be seen.
Once the large group photo I will then have everyone line up for their individual mama and baby photos. I will do my absolute best to get everyone finished as quickly as possible as I know how bored little ones can get if they are having to stand around.

Please respect our fellow park users and make sure to pick up any trash you have, park appropriately, and make sure we are not intruding on other’s enjoyment of the public area.
Please no pets at this event, service animals are welcome!
