About this Event
Our theme this year is ¡Somos el cambio! Leveraging Multillinguallism and Multiliteracy and Equity
Here are our programs. Tickets can be purchased individually.
TBD: Virtual Path to Scholarships (8:30 am to 2:30 pm) - virtual workshop opportunity for high school students to support and build their self-confidence and courage in seeking post-graduation options and gain college application/scholarship strategies that work. $60 per student (additional fees may apply). We kindly ask school districts or other organizations to register their students by Friday, December 13, 2024, to ensure student materials are delivered to school districts/organizations before the workshop.
Friday, February 21, 2025: School visits (8:00-3:00 p.m.) - visit K-12 dual language schools in selected school districts in Oregon during the day. Participants will have various Dual Language Bilingual Education program levels to choose from. $100 per ticket
Friday, February 21, 2025: OABE Leadership Reception (5:30 pm-8:00 pm) - Dual Language and school district leaders around the state are invited to join the OABE's reception with other program leaders to network and support bilingualism and multiculturalism in our community. $50 per person (additional fees may apply)
Saturday, February 22, 2025: One-day Institute (8:30 am-4:30 pm) - join OABE's one-day conference to learn about best practices from the field and to inform and advance your program efforts. This is your chance to learn straight from educational advocates who work hard to create educational access for all students, their families, and their communities.
First Registration Window - $150 per person (Register by November 15th)
Second Registration Window - $200 per person (Register by December 20th)
Third Registration Window - $250 per person (Register by January 31st)
Saturday, February 22, 2024: Parent Strand (8:00-12:00)- the Parent Strand audience will include dual-language family members (Spanish speakers). The presentation should inspire and empower bilingual families and the community to embrace multilingualism and leadership. $50 per parent (additional fees may apply).
** Institutional membership: (additional fees may apply) - (includes 6 slots for educators for the Saturday conference, 2 slots for program leaders for the Friday leadership reception, up to 5 slots for parents for the parent institute). Additional fees may apply. Institutional membership purchases can also be completed separately by emailing Elisa at [email protected]. This option will be available until January 31, 2025.
