Keynote Speaker: Don Iannone

Don Iannone is a highly respected author and expert in economic development, public policy, and the business of sports.

His research on the business of sports, especially public funding of professional sports facilities, has garnered significant attention from the national and local media. He has written several articles about local and state economic development, including the role of artificial intelligence in economic development.

Don led major economic development organizations in Northeast Ohio for eight years and directed the economic and environmental centers at Cleveland State University for fifteen years. From 2000 to 2016, he provided economic development strategy and policy analysis consulting services to over 100 public and private clients in 32 states and internationally. His clients have included several federal agencies and departments, state development agencies, and local and regional economic development and civic organizations.
