2025 Monterey Park Library Foundation Gala

Aloha! The Monterey Park Library Foundation welcomes all to its annual fundraising Gala on Friday, October 10. Join us in our mission to fund a bookmobile to serve the community and support the services and programs of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library.

The Gala will be held at Luminarias, 3500 W. Ramona Blvd. in Monterey Park, and will start at 6:00 pm with dinner served shortly after 7:00 pm. This year’s event will honor Peter Chan and the Cherry Blossom Festival Committee for their outstanding dedication to the Library and service to this community. Entertainment will include lively Hawaiian hula dancing – with audience participation! – and music provided by Rodney Durand. The irrepressibly enthusiastic Mike Eng will return as master of ceremonies. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle providing multiple opportunities to win prizes while raising funds for the Library. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian or Japanese-themed attire.

You are invited to participate in this year’s festivities while supporting the Library by purchasing a ticket or table. Corporate and individual table sponsorships are available at levels of $5,000 (Ohtani), $3,000 (Ohana) and $2,000 (Mahalo). Individual tickets can be purchased for $99 each. Donations are tax deductible. Tables or tickets can be purchased from Monterey Park Library Foundation members, at the Library or online.
