JOiN US FOR THE 2025 GRAND FINALE! Saturday, September 13th 12 - 8pm: 8 hours of live music, curated selection of food and merchandise in the Rao's Marketplace, fun for the whole family. From 8-10pm, get ready on the Signature Cruise Experiences main stage for the Block Party with DJ Brother Mister + DJ Prince Hakim.
New this year, the MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL pivots to an exciting new chapter, deepening its roots in the heart of Montclair through two new dynamic collaborations: Wellmont Theater for a series of 10 free outdoor plaza concerts throughout the summer and BDP Holdings’ Lackawanna Station for the Downtown Jamboree and Block Party across the eight acre property, closing the adjacent Grove Street, to traffic and transforming Downtown Montclair into a vibrant arts and culture hub.
Now in its 16th year, the region’s largest free jazz festival will once again transform Downtown Montclair into a vibrant hub for music, culture, and community — with performances on multiple outdoor stages, over 150 artisan and food vendors in the Rao’s Homemade Marketplace, the Family Jazz Discovery Zone and so much more!
This year’s all-star lineup on the Signature Cruise Experience Stage includes:
- Christian McBride & Ursa Major
- Luisito Quintero
- Jazzmeia Horn Quartet
- Lakecia Benjamin and Phoenix
- JAZZ HOUSE Collective Celebrates Legacy Artist James Moody
- The Gotham Kings – leading a New Orleans-style second line from Church to the new site
- DJ Brother Mister (Christian McBride) + DJ Prince Hakim – headlining the evening Block Party
- Emerging Musician Stage includes: 50+ young artists JAZZ HOUSE programs
- debut of this year’s alumni JAZZ HOUSE All-Stars, a group of accomplished musicians who will set sail on the McBride’s World at Sea in January
