Join us for an unforgettable night celebrating 50 years of the Monash Law Clinical Program and the people who helped shape it.
Since its beginnings in 1975 at the Springvale Legal Service, the Monash Law Clinical Program has provided students with real-world legal experience while offering crucial legal support to those who need it most. Today, that mission remains as vital as ever.
You’re warmly invited to be part of this milestone celebration at the Monash Law Gala Dinner, held on Level 17 of the RACV City Club in Melbourne's CBD. It will be an evening to reconnect with fellow alumni, relive shared memories, and honour the enduring legacy of clinical legal education at Monash Law.
The evening will be hosted by Professor Steven Vaughan, Dean of Law at Monash University, and will feature a keynote address by Commissioner Meena Singh, proud Yorta Yorta and Indian woman, Victoria’s Commissioner for Aboriginal Children and Young People, and a Monash University alumna. A passionate human rights lawyer, Commissioner Singh has spent more than two decades advancing justice for Aboriginal communities and vulnerable groups across Victoria.
As part of the celebration, each guest will receive a first-edition copy of 50 Years / 50 Voices: Learning Law and Changing Lives — a beautifully designed coffee-table style book featuring powerful stories from students, alumni, educators and supporters of the Monash Law Clinical Program. Whether you helped shape its pages or are part of the wider story, this keepsake will be yours to take home and treasure.
