For over three decades, our Valpo friends, families, alumni, and colleagues have joined together to celebrate the enduring works of Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s annual MLK Day celebration will be held on January 20, inviting all members of our community to commemorate and reflect on King’s visions and the impact his legacy carried through the generations.
This year’s theme – “Where Do We Go From Here? Leading With Courage” – draws inspiration from King’s vision of creating a “beloved community,” realized by goals of Convocation speaker Dr. Abdullah Hasan Pratt, assistant professor and emergency medicine physician at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
