2025 Lunar New Year | Gold Coast

Celebrate the Year of the Snake in Chinatown on 1st February 2025 with an afternoon and evening of family-friendly fun, delicious food, and lively entertainment. Join us at Davenport and Young Streets, starting at 3:00 PM to kick off the 2025 Lunar New Year festivities!

Experience traditional lion and dragon dances as they fill the streets with excitement, representing good fortune for the year ahead. Kids will love the variety of hands-on activities, including lotus origami making, woodblock painting, and Chinese calligraphy. Plus, don’t miss the interactive wishing tree where you can leave your hopes for the year.

Enjoy a stunning display of fan and umbrella dancing, and stay until 7:30 PM for the spectacular fireworks finale to cap off the celebration.
