2025 Local Roots Music NW Song ContestEntries are now being accepted for the "2025 Local Roots Music NW Song Contest," open to amateur and professional songwriters in the following 3 categories:
Acoustic/Singer/Songwriter
Folk/Country/Americana
Pop/Rock/Blues
There is no entry fee!
All Entrants must be residents of the NW including Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia.
Finalists must be available to perform before a panel of judges from the NW music industry at the finals set for April 14, 2025 at 7 pm at Alberta St Pub in Portland.
Winners in each category will receive a cash prize and an opportunity to perform at one of our Local Roots Live concert events held each month.
Contest Rules:
Enter your original song by using our "submit music" tab at our website:

Email a recording of your song in mp3 format (does not have to be professionally mastered)
In the body of the email send us the lyrics to your song and your website and/or social media links.
In the subject line list the category you are entering your song. Please only enter 1 song
Deadline to apply is March 15, 2025
Three Finalists in each category will be contacted shortly after the deadline.
