Info: Jay recently retired from the State of Oregon after a 43-year career in assisting people with substance use disorder reach and sustain recovery. From 2001 to February of 2025, he served as the Alcohol and Drug Services Coordinator for Oregon’s Department of Human Services (ODHS) – Office of Child Welfare Programs. He trained and consulted with caseworkers and contractors on all aspects of substance use disorders (SUD) and how they relate to child welfare cases. He also coordinated the local Recovery Support Teams which work in most child welfare offices in the state.
