Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. YMCAs across the country host free community events aimed to inspire kids to keep their minds and bodies active throughout the summer months.Here in the Greater Scranton community, the event will feature activities that range from a 1 Mile Family Fun Walk and physical activities to a vendor fair, bounce houses, rides and more. All activities are designed to inspire kids to get active while simultaneously teaching families how to develop routines that support mental and physical health at home.
The event is FREE and open to the community! Pre-registration is not required. The 1 Mile Family Fun Walk will kick-off the event at 10:00 a.m.
The Y’s Healthy Kids Day is sponsored nationally by Peanuts! Locally, Healthy Kids Day is sponsored thus far by Scartelli General Contractors, Air Excellence, Community Bank, Precor, NET Credit Union, Matrix, Cal Mal Vending Services, TOPP Business Solutions, Rainey & Rainey CPAs and Brucelli Advertising.
The Family Fun Walk (1 mile) will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. outside the Y's facility. Registration is not required!
