Join the Lakes & Hills Garden Club for the 2025 Great Florida Pollinator Census! Become a Citizen Scientist and help count pollinator insects for 15 minutes to support vital research and conservation. It's fun, fast, and impactful for ALL ages. The Event:
• Saturday, August 23, 2025
• 10am-12pm - Stop by anytime during the listed window – each count takes only 15 minutes!
• At the Nunan Butterfly Garden behind the W.T. Bland library, 1995 N Donnelly St, Mount Dora
We will:
• Educate you on the specific pollinators we’re interested in counting
• Give each participant a pollinator count sheet
We will have light refreshments, stickers, coloring books, and 2 raffle prizes of the book, The Great Pollinator Count, by Susan Edwards Richmond!!
In 2024 we had 100 counters count 2,799 pollinators & look forward to more Citizen Scientists counting
