Have you ever wanted to learn to skate? Have you ever wanted to play roller derby? Well stop wondering about it and come to try it for yourself!We will be hosting a freshie only practice on March 15th at our Tamarac practice space.
You do not need to have any experience on skates, we will guide you through everything you need to know.
We have a limited amount of protective gear, helmets and skates. Please email us for sizing options. You DO NOT need a a mouthguard.
As always, please remember that in roller derby there is room for everyone, you do not need to be on skates to be a part of roller derby and you can be on skates without having to play roller derby (hello refs!).
Prior to our first official on skates practice GCDG is hosting two virtual open houses where we will share who we are, what roller derby is, and how our new skater program works. Prospective skaters will learn how they can get involved with us, what new skater practices are like, what gear is needed, and what they can look forward to as they grow in their derby careers.
Interested in joining a virtual session? Complete our interest form and our team will send you a Zoom link the day of the meeting. Two sessions are offered- feel free to attend twice and bring your questions!
