Teams will consist of THREE BOWLERS (ONE Adult Male / ONE Adult Female / ONE Youth of either gender) and will bowl THREE regular games of bowling and THREE Baker games on one pair of lanes.
2025 ALL IN THE FAMILY CLASSIC – RULES
1 – ELIGIBILITY
This tournament is an Adult/Youth Trios Tournament. ALL Bowlers (ADULT & YOUTH) MUST hold current USBC sanctioning. Teams MUST consist of ONE Adult Male Bowler, ONE Adult Female Bowler, and ONE Youth Bowler of either gender.
2 – FORMAT
The Tournament will consist of three STANDARD scoring games of competition as well as THREE THREE-PERSON “BAKER STYLE” games. For the “Baker” games, the Adult Male Bowler will start/finish game 1, the Adult Female Bowler will start/finish game 2, and the Youth Bowler will start/finish game 3.
3 – AVERAGES / HANDICAPPING
The tournament will utilize a “Team Handicap” for the duration of the competition being 85% from the 630 Base Average. Averages will be based on FINAL 2024-2025 averages (MINIMUM TWENTY-ONE (21) games for Adults & NINE (9) games for YOUTH). If no average was established for the 2024-2025 season, Adult Male Bowlers will be assigned a 185 average, Adult Female Bowlers will be assigned a 160 average, and a Youth Bowler will be assigned at 125. Bowlers are responsible to provide proof of average upon request.
4 – SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Monies collected as part of entry fees for scholarship will be added to the Fort Wayne Metro USBC General Youth / SMART fund account earmarked for future youth scholarship award winning events. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of this tournament.
5 – ON LANE EDIQUET / GENERAL CONDUCT
NO electronic devices on the lanes while bowling (PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES USED FOR LIVE STREAMING ARE PROHIBITED IN BOWLING CENTER! NO EXCEPTIONS). NO food/drink will be permitted in the bowler’s area. NO alcohol consumption will be permitted by adults behind the youth bowler’s lanes. NO smoking/vaping permitted on premises or by bowlers during competition. ALL OTHER YOUTH CONDUCT AND GENERAL PLAYING RULES WILL DEFAULT BACK TO THE 2025-2026 USBC NATIONAL RULEBOOK (Reference Rule 17d – PAGE 18). Violation of tournament rules will carry the penalty of disqualification with no refund.
17d. Youth Conduct Individuals holding youth membership can be removed from competition/functions and/or suspended/denied membership for the following: 1. Conduct derogatory to the best interest of youth bowling including, but not limited to, the following in conjunction with youth competition and functions: a. Using tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages. b. Using foul language or gestures. c. Wearing clothing depicting foul language or gestures. 2. Prior adjudication of delinquency or conviction of a crime including, but not limited to, crimes involving physical or mental abuse or sexual assault.
6 – ENTRY FEES / REGISTRATION
The entry fee must be paid at time of entry. Entries postmarked after THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9th, 2025 will be considered a walk-in and will be $70.00. Other walk-ins as well will be $70.00 only if entered 30 minutes prior to shift start on a “first come, first serve” basis and only if space permits.
