The 2025 Essentia Health – Dick Beardsley Races Are Back in Beautiful Detroit Lakes, Minnesota!Join us on Saturday, September 6 to celebrate the 30th year of the Dick Beardsley Races and the famous runner himself, in his home state! With options for runners/walkers of all ages and abilities (Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Youth Run courses), the Dick Beardsley Races are fun for the whole family!
IT'S OUR 30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Did you know that 2025 marks our 30th year anniversary? We invite you to celebrate 30 years with us and our goal of 3,000 participants in this year's races!
• Race day activities and the fan favorite, Friday night pasta feed will be held at the Detroit Lakes Pavilion by the Lake (1361 Washington Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).
• Joining Dick Beardsley at Friday night’s pasta feed is inspirational speaker and American marathon legend, Bill Rodgers.
• After the races on Saturday, the party continues with music in the park from 10:00am – 6:00pm. Musical line-up includes: American Mojo – A Tom Petty Tribute Band, Minnesota Alt-Country Star - Clayton Ryan, and Montana dance/rock/disco band - Desperate Electric.
