Come Celebrate & Take Action for the Planet!
Join us for a hands-on, feel-good day of giving back to nature! The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council’s Earth Day Celebration is a community-powered event where over 200 volunteers come together to clean, restore, and beautify the Greenway—from Hillside Avenue to Manton Pond.
🌱 What We’ll Be Doing:
✅ Trash Cleanup – Clearing litter from the riverbank, dead-end streets, and even in the water!
✅ Tree & Shrub Planting – Supporting pollinators and improving the river’s ecosystem.
✅ Mulching & Beautification – Freshening up green spaces along the Greenway.
✅ Rain Barrel Painting Raffle– Getting creative while learning about stormwater solutions. We'll also be raffling a rain barrel you can take home!
✅ Community Art & Hands-on Lessons – Interactive, family-friendly activities for all ages.
✅ Music & Refreshments – A well-earned celebration of your impact!
