A cherished part of the West Volusia holiday season that dates back to the 1920s, brightly lit and beautifully decorated boats of all sizes will cruise the scenic St. Johns River, spreading holiday cheer to revelers along the shoreline. Commercial and private vessels will come together just north of Ed Stone Park at 6:00 PM and travel south to Lake Beresford, cruising around the lake and ending at the Lake Beresford Yacht Club with an awards ceremony and party to follow.
Boaters! Assemble your crew and decorate your boat to participate in the parade for a chance to win cash, prizes and bragging rights! Entry fee is just $25.00.
The DeLand Christmas Boat Parade is produced by a local volunteer group of boating enthusiasts. Proceeds from the parade will cover the event's costs. Any unused proceeds will be donated to Mighty River Recovery, a local non-profit organization dedicated to ending the continued decline of Florida’s St. Johns River, while working to organize and unify outdoor enthusiasts.
