biodiversity of the Pheasant Branch Conservancy through the lens of his camera. Paul will share images and insights from countless walks through this local treasure, highlighting the unique moments that make wildlife photography so rewarding. His talk will focus on the many life forms that call the Conservancy’s 680+ acres home - from eagles and owls to warblers, cranes, turtles, and more. Paul will guide us through seasonal shifts, predator-prey interactions, and the life cycles of key species, offering a deeper appreciation of the natural world right in our backyard!
Paul Ludden is a retired professor who has travelled to Costa Rica, Botswana, South Africa, New Zealand, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Canada, Florida, California, Oregon, Nebraska (where he grew up), and many of the National Parks of the US capturing images of wildlife in every form. But he considers Pheasant Branch Conservancy his home base for photography. A thousand walks in the Conservancy is likely an underestimate of the number of circuits he has made of the trails of Pheasant Branch with camera in hand since he and his wife Linda settled in Middleton a decade ago.
