2025 Chain Saw Safety - One Day Workshop

In this comprehensive chainsaw safety course by Expert Tree Academy, arborists will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain / operate a chainsaw safely and apply methods of precision tree felling in a controlled learning environment. An integral part of this course focuses on forces including leverage, tension, compression and the implementation of mechanical advantagte in felling operations. This arborist training course is ISA approved for CEs for ISA certified arborists.

Daiily safety inspections

Five step felling plan, heights and hazards

Types of cuts and their uses, limbing and bucking

Required PPE

Proper starting procedures

Cutting stance, transport, and handling

Compression & tension forces of trees

Avoiding injury from kickbacks, springpoles and barberchairs

Chain saw maintenance
