It is time for our 2025 auditions! We are welcoming all children and youth ages 7-18! Please read all following for important information regarding auditions.
Auditions will be held April 15 and April 16 at 4:00 pm at 120 Hillcrest Drive in Price (not Wellington address). It is only necessary to come to one audition date. We are hoping that the weather will be nice enough that we can have auditions outside. It might not hurt to bring a camp chair or a picnic blanket for sitting on.
We are hoping to do two shows this year. The Princess and the Pauper (title may change) will be performed by our junior cast and 80s and Aliens will be performed by our senior cast. Both shows will be musicals. We have not decided on the age cut-off for each show and will not be deciding until after auditions have concluded. Please be aware that those auditioning for the first time are unlikely to receive a lead role. However, we have lots of fun parts this year!
If your actor would like a speaking role, please have them come prepared with an audition piece. Please limit audition pieces to 1 minute. If your actor would like a solo singing part, please come prepared with a song. Again, limit this to a total 1 minute audition piece, please.
We ask that you try to make one of the scheduled auditions. If for some reason you are unable to attend either date, please contact us so that we can arrange a private audition prior to these dates. We will not be casting speaking roles after April 16, so if your actor would like to try out for a speaking part and can't make auditions, please contact us before this date.
Practices this year will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting on June 3 at 120 Hillcrest Drive in PRICE. Practice times will be from 9 am-12 pm. We understand that there may be family vacations, girl's and boy's camps, etc., and we are willing to work around these to some extent but do expect all actors to attend the majority of rehearsals.
The performances will be on July 18, July 19, July 21, and July 22. Performances will be held in the Price Civic Auditorium. Dress rehearsal will be July 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 with our cast party on Thursday July 17 at 6:30.
This year, the cost for participation is as follows:
$100 tuition per actor plus $40 for costume fee
Families who enroll more than one child in either production will receive a discount of $10 off tuition per child.
To help us keep costs low for the kids in the community, we would love to have help finding sponsors this year. If anyone is interested in joining our production team in this way, please let us know. We offer tuition discounts for this assistance. Thanks!
