BTNEP’s Native Plant Giveaway will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 8 am to noon at the BTNEP Native Plant Nursery, located at the Nicholls Farm! Arrive with your friends and family, and leave with FREE native plants, grown by BTNEP staff on-site! Several species will be available, including American beautyberry, red mulberry, yaupon holly, buttonbush, and persimmon. We’ll also have plants perfect for attracting pollinators, such as black-eyed Susans, red sage, purple coneflower, and sea ox-eye daisy.
As you pick out your native plants to take home, feel free to explore our Native Plant Nursery. For example, you can see some of the tens of thousands of trees we're growing out for various restoration projects throughout the state! Be sure to visit our info table for educational hand-outs and more information about gardening for wildlife.
The BTNEP Native Plant Nursery is located at 104 Thoroughbred Park Dr. in Thibodaux. We hope to see you there!
