This class is ideal for those folks who work with their dogs in public settings such as did shows, dog sports, obedience, therapy work, or those who just want to take their dogs into public with minimal stress.

Want to have a better understanding of what your dog is trying to say when they are away from the comfort of their home? Join us Sunday February 16th from 8:30-4:30 for a full day discussion of canine body language with Karen Deeds, Certified Dog Behavior Consultant.
In 2013, Karen earned the distinction of becoming one of less than 200 Certified Dog Behavior Consultants in the United States through the IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants). Requirements included logging over 500 hours and a minimum of three years experience in behavior consulting, 400 hours of continuing education, three written case studies and written discussion of four case scenarios including questions regarding terminology, techniques, assessment and history taking. Due to her expertise in behavior, specifically reactivity and aggression, Karen is sought after to present seminars nationally and to teach her customized Reactive Integration class in person and online.
Karen will discuss dogs body language towards each other and towards humans and the lessons you learn will prove invaluable to advocating for your dog and knowing what warning signs to watch for in other dogs you may encounter in public settings. You will leave feeling more comfortable in identifying the often missed small signs that your dog is uncomfortable when out in public.
We will have demo dogs for you to observe a variety of different examples of body language and will discuss how to approach various behaviors safely and comfortably for you and your dog.
Karen will have a few spots available on the day before the seminar at a private location for 1:1 consultations if you’d like some help with your personal dog. Please email [email protected] for more information.
The cost of this event is $50 per person. You will receive an invoice via square within a couple of days of registering. Your seat will not be confirmed until payment is received in full. Cancellations and refund requests must be received at least 7 days in advance. Refunds will not be given within 1 week (7 days) of the event.
