Saturday, April 26, 2025 we will offer our beginner beekeeping course. The course is designed to prepare a new Beekeeper with the skills needed to start and maintain their hives in their first year.
Topics include installing nucleus hives and package bees, nutrition, health, and apiary set up.
We typically have presentations from several beekeepers in the community. In previous years we have had between 30-60 attendees.
Lectures will start at 9am. With registration happening by 8am. We will have a lite lunch and will then break out into hands on demonstrations.
At Four Leaf Honey Farm, we offer equipment and nucleus colonies for sale in the weeks following the class.
Attendees will need to bring: protective gear, gloves, hive tool and smoker. If you do not have this, we have some for sale.
Its not a requirement to attend, but it is needed for your active participation in the hands on.
