As many of you know, we lost Hunter unexpectedly in 2018 at the age of 18. In his memory, we established The Hunter E. Burke Memorial Foundation, Inc. This foundation is a non-profit organization aimed at providing educational scholarships, charitable acts and assisting families in need due to the unexpected loss of a child. So far, we have paid out multiple scholarships, started a trade school scholarship, and helped families in need in their time of loss. We have also donated to the caring cupboards of local elementary schools which helps to provide snacks for children in need. We could not do all of this without you, so thank you!!!This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, November 28th at Conway Arena in Nashua, NH.
*Check in – 6:00 to 6:30 pm Conway Arena Lobby (socialize, catch up with old friends and check out our raffle table)
*Warm up and Opening Puck Drop – 6:50 to 7:00pm
*Game – 7:00pm to 8:40 pm
*Closing Pictures – 8:40 to 8:50pm
*A lot of us like to go eat and share some beverages after the event. As we have done in the past, we will work with The Thirsty Moose to pre order some pizzas and have a place to catch up after the game. Look for more information about this after game event as we get closer to the date.
If you would like to be part of this event, here is what we need:
Merrimack Hockey Alumni, as well as any previous players, fielding two teams to play at the event. Cost will be $25/player. Teams will be constructed once all names are received. We are hopeful to have 4 full lines and 3 goalies per team. If you are interested in playing in this year’s event, please let us know as soon as possible. It’s never too early to register!
Merrimack Hockey players to help run the event. Due to this event being so close to the start of your season, 2024/2025 MHS players will not be partaking in the game as skaters, but rather volunteers working at the event.
Spectators to come support our Alumni teams! Entry fee will be $5/ person. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and other raffle prizes to be won at the event. It is a great game and a good time!

Alumni Players – Please provide me with your MHS graduation year and Hockey number so I can add this to our game day flyer. Payments and Donations can be made payable to The Hunter E. Burke Memorial Foundation, Inc. and mailed to 17 Friar Tuck Court, Merrimack NH 03054. If you would prefer to Venmo your payment, that option is available this year. Please Venmo Kathy Hilliard @Kathy-Hilliard-3. Please just add a comment to your Venmo payment indicating MHS Alumni Game.
