The Paducah Singers will be hosting auditions for the 2025-2026 season on Saturday August 23rd from 1-4pm at the Paducah Symphony Orchestra Academy located at 401 Walter Jetton Blvd. Building 4. To request an audition slot, please email [email protected] or use this form: https://forms.gle/fpDhgr4dXFxqMi7T9Auditions will last approximately 15 minutes and involve three parts:
1. Auditionees will sing a vocal solo (hymn, art song, spiritual, folksong, aria, etc.). A pianist will be provided. Vocal solo does not need to be memorized. We will request you email us a PDF of your solo prior to your audition or there is an opportunity to upload a PDF in our Google Form.
2. Vocalises/warm-ups led by a member of the Paducah Singers.
3. Sing "Lord, Make Me to Know" by William Byrd one-on-a-part with members of the Paducah Singers. With this exercise, we are looking at individual vocal strength and security with notes and rhythms, musicality, blend with the other voices, and overall musicianship. Memory not required and music will be provided after an audition slot is scheduled.
The Paducah Singers is a chamber choral ensemble based in Paducah, KY. We present two concerts per season in addition to collaborating with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra on select concerts. Rehearsals take place Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. Compensation is provided as well as mileage for those living outside of the area.
