About this Event
Our Center’s Mission: The Southern California Center for Latino Health (SCCLH) was established in 2021 to improve the well-being of Latino children and families. Some chronic diseases disproportionately affect Latino communities. We research the causes of these health disparities and work with researchers and external partners to develop solutions that will improve Latino health.
Who should attend? The meeting is open to trainees, researchers, staff, and community organizations/members interested in our Center’s mission. Early-stage investigators interested in applying for our Center pilot grants are encouraged to attend.
What will attendees get out of this event? They will learn about new research on Latino health disparities, and how to engage communities and external partners in research. They will also learn about the resources and pilot project funding available from our Center.
In-person vs. Remote: In-person attendees can participate in the full program: all presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking. Remote attendees can view some of the presentations on pilot projects and center resources.
