NOTICE REGARDING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THIS SEGMENT
Public participation in the segment from the Allegheny Township War Memorial to the Rite Aid Pharmacy is encouraged; however, be advised that there will be no escort or traffic control by emergency service providers. Our Route this year will follow the Rt 56 bypass, then Route 56 to the Rite Aid Pharmacy at the intersection of Route 56 and Leechburg Drive in Lower Burrell. We must avoid impeding traffic in any way by staying on the road shoulder and in single file where necessary. Participation is AT YOUR OWN RISK.

A shuttle will be available from the VFW Post 92 (Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell) to Rite Aid at 10:30 AM.

NOTICE REGARDING PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THIS SEGMENT
This segment of the Walk (Rite Aid to VFW Post 92) will also lack emergency services. There are sidewalks available from Rite Aid (on the opposite side of Leechburg Road), through the Hillcrest Shopping Center and along Wildlife Lodge Road to within several hundred feet of Route 56. We will need to cross Route 56 quickly and CAREFULLY using the traffic signal cycles, then proceed to the driveway to VFW Post 92. Participation is AT YOUR OWN RISK.
