Please join us at the 2024 Michigan Prayer Breakfast, which will be held Tuesday, May 28 from 7:30-9 am at the Crowne Plaza, located at 925 S. Creyts Rd, Lansing, MI. Tickets are now on sale at michprayerbreakfast.org.
This year's keynote speaker is Pastor Chris Brooks, senior pastor of Woodside Bible Church, a multisite congregation across the Detroit metropolitan area. Chris served for 20 years as the senior pastor of Evangel Ministries, a thriving 1,600-member church in the heart ofDetroit. He also served as the campus dean of Moody Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan.
A popular Moody Radio host since 2005, Chris is the author of Kingdom Dreaming and Urban Apologetics. His daily radio program, "Equipped" encourages you to grow spiritually, think critically, and live compassionately in your community.
Chris graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Finance, completed his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University, and graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Yodit, are the proud parents of six children.
In these challenging times, the world around us yearns for real hope. Pastor Chris will encourage and challenge you with a message about the living hope that we have in Christ and how that transforms our lives when we put feet to the Gospel. As 1st Peter 1:3-5 says,
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you."
