The King of the Ranges Stockman’s Challenge and Bush Festival is held annually in Murrurundi NSW on the last full weekend of September. Stockmen and women from around the country come to compete in seven preliminary events consisting of horse and rider gear, whipcrack, pack saddle, stock handling, shoeing, bareback and cross country to see who got the points to compete in the final events.
Along side the Stockman's Challenge, the Bush Festival showcases the famous folklore, tall tales and great adventures of bush poetry, music, the famous billy goat cart race, market stalls, billy boiling, bush dinner and much, much more.
A full program of festival events and entertainment offering something for all the family from Friday through to Sunday.
