About this Event
Join Kentucky State University for our 26th Annual Small, Limited-Resource, Minority Farmers Conference. This year's theme is "Growing Our Farmers & Our Communities".
The purpose of the Small, Limited-Resource, Minority Farmers Conference is fourfold.
- Provides a forum for underserved farmers to interact with USDA, state, research, Extension and other professionals to learn about their programs, opportunities and how to access them by building personal relationships with their representatives.
- Provides an opportunity for farmers across Kentucky to network with and learn from one another.
- Provides education for underserved farmers on numerous topics related to production, economics, health, emerging trends, land stewardship and more.
- Experience the state-of-the-art facilities and programs at Kentucky State University and a chance to network with university employees through supportive dialogues and providing suggestions to staff.
This year, your conference registration will allow you to take advantage of:
- Educational workshops on topics such as floriculture, bees, ag technology, funding resources available, urban agriculture and more!
- Tours that include a cattle farm (Bagdad, KY), winery/distiller (Lexington, KY) or KYSU's Research Farm and Aquaculture Center
- Networking opportunities during the reception and luncheon

If you would like to book a hotel room, choose the option for "Conference Registration + Hotel Stay". Do not make your own reservation with the hotel- KYSU will book your reservation for you!
