2024 Hike for Home Visits

Start at Zero is excited to invite you to the 2024 Hike for Home Visits on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Heartland Observation Preserve (9106 Chestnut Ave, KCMO 64132)!
Join us for a guided group walk, family-friendly outdoor activities, snacks, and photos! It's a big, family playdate in the park! While we play, our children will get to participate in restoring lands for generations to come. As "seed fairies", they'll be able to help plant native plants and flowers!
This special fundraising hiking event will celebrate home visiting, the importance of play, nature, and advocacy for early childhood development and education in Kansas City. All registrations and contributions will go toward sustaining our ongoing early childhood development programming, including our signature home visiting program!
Your paid registration includes snacks/refreshments on the big day, and a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last. (T-shirts are limited, so please register early!) Children's sizes 2T - 5T and adult sizes S - 2XL will be available. (Please contact us if you desire special sizing.) . Children's sizes 2T - 5T and adult sizes S - 2XL will be available. Please RSVP for the hike by Monday, October 21, 2024. Please note that all ticket sales are nonrefundable.
Want to be a part of the festivities but can't make it to KCMO? Hike wherever you are in the world in support of Start at Zero, any time between now and October 31! Wear your shirt while doing so, snap a pic or take a video, and tag us on social media!
