2024 EGV Ride of Silence

FCEG has organized a Ride of Silence in memory of Rose Waters, Al Hattendorf, Jose Nelson Cobian and all others that have been injured or killed while cycling. There is no fee to participate in this event. Helmets are strongly encouraged for all participants.
We will ride in silent procession at approximately 10mph
We'll be following the Rules of the Road (stopping at stop lights and at stop signs when cross traffic is present).
The RoS is recommended for ages 10 and up as we need to keep the group together for maximum visibility.
We'll be riding no more than 2-up to allow motorists space to safely pass the group.
Lights will add to the effect, so if you have bike lights, plan on using them during the ride.
Schedule
6:15pm – 6:30pm: Waivers and bike checks
6:30pm – 6:40pm: RoS proclamation and safety
6:40pm – 8:00pm: Ride of Silence (10 miles)
8:00pm – 8:30pm: Clean up
