GMGI's Education and Workforce Development Conference

Gloucester Biotechnology Academy is privileged to be part of a community dedicated to empowering young people who face barriers to pursuing STEM careers. Each year at our EWD Conference, we reaffirm our commitment to students who are on alternative education paths towards STEM careers and challenge biases that hinder inclusivity.

Our graduates often encounter workplace obstacles due to perceptions around vocational training. This year, our conference aims to delve deeper into these issues: Do graduates receive equitable support and advancement in biotech? Are they compensated and respected equally? We'll explore these questions alongside life science and biotech leaders, education and training providers, elected officials, and our graduates, to foster dialogue, share solutions, and drive systemic change in STEM education and career development.

Doors will open at 8:30a and the speaking program will begin at 9a. A catered lunch will be provided.
