2024 BLITZEN Cocktail and Cookie Walk

Who doesn't LOVE Christmas Cookies......and Cocktails?! Come get merry with us at the BLITZEN Walk!

Get a head start on holiday celebrating, get away from the stress of the season and join us in historic downtown Middletown for our BLITZEN Cocktail & Cookie Walk.

After checking in near the Middletown Holiday Whopla Ice Rink, you will walk to different local establishments to get decadent cookies, lovingly prepared from our bakers at Foodeez Cafe! Each "Cookie Stop" will have a specially selected $3 cocktail pairing available for purchase (sold separately at each location).

Cookie in one hand......paired cocktail in another.......does that sound like something at the top of your Christmas List?! THEN YOU NEED TO BE HERE!

(The Downtown Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) will be in effect, allowing you to sip and stroll between stops! 21+)

As an added bonus, there will be some "reindeer games" in several Downtown businesses that will provide you a warm-up Scavenger hunt. If you make all the stops, you can redeem your passport back at the Ice Rink for free ice skating tickets to use on another day!

We can't promise you will burn more calories than you consume, but it will be a fun-filled night!

How it Works:

Check-In will begin at 6p.m. at The Holiday Whopla Ice Rink, located at 39 N Broad Street in downtown Middletown. It is here that you will trade your ticket for your cookie tasting map (and of course, your official BLITZEN reindeer antlers). Cookie tastings (and cocktail pairings) will be located inside various local businesses & buildings throughout downtown Middletown. Cocktail pairings will be paid directly at the stop ($3 each) or full glasses will be available for purchase as well. There is a bit of walking involved, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes, but have no fear- this is a cookie & cocktail event, not a fitness event! The hours of the event are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m and you may check-in anytime during this time.

Tickets:

Tickets are $25 and include 8 locally made cookies, official tasting passport, BLITZEN reindeer antlers, and a ice skating ticket if you complete the scavenger hunt!

FAQs:

-Is there a minimum age requirements for the event?

This event is a cookie & cocktail pairing event so you must be 21+.
Not into cocktails? No problem- just buy a ticket which gets you all of the cookie stops and reindeer antlers. Please bring valid ID with you.

-What are my transportation/parking options?

There are multiple free parking lots in and around downtown Middletown. Event check in is at the Holiday Whopla Ice Rink with plenty of parking nearby. When you complete the walk and scavenger hunt, you will return to the Rink to exchange your completed passport, so parking here is recommended.

-Is this event rain or shine?

Cookies & Cocktails taste delicious in any weather so the walk will go on rain, snow or sun! ...but not severe weather, so keep an eye out for updates if anything severe is in the forecast!

-What cocktails will be offered?

Our stops have specifically paired different cookie types with unique, craft cocktails or alcoholic treats that you likely don't have the opportunity to taste every day. Watch the facebook event page for more details as the event gets closer!

-What if I don't like the paired cocktail?

No problem! Since you purchase the pairings at each stop, you are welcome to skip the specially created and served pairing, or order something else from the bar! (But our stops did some serious research into their pairing offerings, so we always recommend giving it a try!)
