2024 Area 61 AFG Convention

The Convention will be held October 25-27, 2024 at Chula Vista Resort & Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. Area 61 Al-Anon Family Groups is comprised of Al-Anon and Alateen groups in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Convention is a time for fellowship, fun, and giving.

In cooperation with Alcoholics Anonymous, we have a full track of AA meetings, panels, workshops & speakers as well. Note that Al-Anon & AA meetings are open to all. Alateen meetings are closed; only Alateens and certified AMIAS’ may attend.

PLEASE NOTE: All Area 61 Convention events take place on the main level of Chula Vista.

Friday

• Registration opens at 2:00pm
• Meetings begin at 3:00pm
• Dinner on your own
• Welcome at 6:30 pm
• Al-Anon and AA speakers starting at 6:45pm

Saturday

• Nature Walk at 7:00am
• Meetings, Panels & Workshops begin at 8:00am
• Alateen and AA speakers starting at 1:00pm
• Saturday Dinner Buffet at 6:00pm
• Al-Anon speaker following the Dinner Buffet

Sunday

• Plated Breakfast (your choice) at 8:30am
• Al-Anon Speaker at 10 am
• Closing at 11:00am

REGISTRATION - Online registration ends October 18th:

• Early registration $30 (by September 23rd)
• Regular registration $35 (by October 10th)
• Late registration $45 (after Octoberber 10th)
• Alateen registration $15

WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS are welcome! Pay $45 ($15 Alateen) at the Registration table (cash, check, or Venmo accepted) starting Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

Saturday Dinner Buffet, $43

PASTA BUFFET:

• Three Cheese Ravioli, Cavatappi Pasta, Pasta Carbonara, Grilled Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo, and Vegetarian Lasagna served with marinara and Alfredo sauces.

• Accompanied by a grilled antipasto and olive bar, fresh Italian rolls and breads, wheels of Parmesan and Romano cheeses.

• Includes Caesar salad, vegetable of the day, panzenella bread, and Chula Vista's hand tossed 3 topping double top pizza’s.

• Served with marble cake, tiramisu cup and classic cannoli for dessert and coffee, tea, or milk.

Sunday Morning Plated Breakfast, $22

YOUR CHOICE, SERVED AT YOUR TABLE:

• Bennett Cheesy Scramble - Three country fresh eggs scrambled with three Wisconsin cheeses.

• Fruit & Melon Platter - Freshly sliced citrus fruits, melons, berries and centered with yogurt and granola. This is a Chula Vista culinary specialty.

• Either of the above choices served with Yukon grilled potatoes, a freshly baked pastry or breakfast muffin; bacon strips and sausage links, orange and apple juices, coffee, tea.

How do I pay for my ticket on Eventbrite?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover cards

I have special needs. How do I let you know what they are?

Special needs, accommodations, and/or dietary restrictions will be requested when you complete this online order.

What is your refund policy?

Requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Non-emergency refund requests must be submitted by email ([email protected]) or mail (postmarked by October 10, 2024). Emergency refund requests may be made by contacting the Registration Chairperson ([email protected]) prior to October 25, 2024. As a rule, as long as the Meal Ticket is resold, the registrants's refund request will be granted. Eventbrite processing fees are not refundable.

Will there be tickets at the door?

Yes, but only event tickets. The deadline for purchasing meals is October 10th.

How do I pay for my ticket at the door?

For walk-in purchases we accept cash, check, or Venmo.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the Convention?

That would make our lives easier. But if you can't, we will have a list of all the people who purchased tickets in advance.
