Sarah Weyenberg has created an INCREDIBLE 200-hour YTT program, accredited by Yoga Alliance International, that includes the "what, why, and how" of yoga poses, how to design safe and create flows, and empower anyone interested in becoming a yoga teacher.
The lead instructor has studied with and his certified through Beth Shaw (founder of YogaFit) and Rolf Gates (author and current director of Kripalu) among other international yoga instructors and has over 23 years teaching experience, over 600 training hours, and over 14,000 teaching hours. No other YTT in this area have this level of experience, exposure, or lineage.
Why Join SVYS YTT Training?
1) You want a deeper understanding of your body and your practice.
YTT gives you the knowledge to move with intention, protect your joints, understand alignment, and keep yourself safe on and off the mat. Many students join simply to feel more confident and empowered in their own practice.
2) You’re craving a meaningful reset.
Training offers a rare opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore yoga beyond the poses. It’s a chance to step into a more grounded, centered version of yourself—one that carries into your daily life.
3) You’re ready to explore the “why” behind yoga.
If you’ve ever wondered about the philosophy, history, energetics, or breathwork that shape the practice, this training opens the door. You’ll learn how to integrate these teachings into your life in a way that feels authentic and accessible.
4) You’re curious about teaching—now or maybe someday.
You don’t need to have any intention of teaching to benefit from YTT. Many people join for personal growth and end up discovering a passion for sharing yoga later on. Whether you teach right away or years down the road, the foundation you build here will support you.

In addition to each weekend’s contact hours, there will be assigned reading, written assignments, class and/or small group projects, and an anatomy test that will count towards non-contact or home study hours. The “final exam” of this course is leading a 60-minute Vinyasa style class for fellow course participants and lead instructor. Home study assignments will be graded as Satisfactory or Needs Improvement. In the case of “needs improvement”, a student will have 1 additional opportunity to re-submit. In the case of the final exam, if the student receives a “needs improvement” grade, they will have 30 days to schedule and lead another 60 min Vinyasa style class for Lead Instructor. In order to receive the certificate to teach, students will also be required to teach 6 community classes as well.
