Apply to participate in our 200 hour teacher training! Are you experienced at practicing yoga and want to share it effectively with others? Learn more about our module system and accessible format of our 200 Hour teacher training: Each module begins with a full in-person weekend followed by four Zoom Workshops and one Group Check-In at the end of each module. Each participant will be part of an ongoing community service project of their choice. The BLUE MODULE begins the weekend of September 6-8:
Theme: Yoga Philosophy
September (In person), October (Zoom Lectures), November (Zoom Phase Check-In)
Each module begins with a full in-person weekend followed by four Zoom Workshops and one Group Check-In at the end of each module. Each participant will be part of an ongoing community service project of their choice.
The Blue Module In-Person Weekend will begin with introductions and an overview of the content of Yoga Philosophy. With an overall theme of Yoga Philosophy, the rest of the weekend will follow a repeated structure to learn how to teach yoga to others. Please see below for the structure of each In-Person Weekend.
Once the In-Person Weekend is completed, we will move into our Zoom Workshops that are generally held every other Wednesday from 6-8pm. In the first half of the Zoom Workshops in the Blue Module, we will focus on the expansive and intriguing history of yoga. Understand common lineages of yoga and how the practice became popularized in the USA. Find the balance of honoring the tradition of yoga while transferring it authentically. In the second half of our workshops, we will begin a study on the Sutras, or “threads” of knowledge woven into a book of lessons. Learn about ethics (Yamas) and moral principles (Niyamas) of yoga through open conversation to discover the practice of yoga beyond your mat.
