20 Years Rooted in Justice

The Alaska Insitute for Justice is celebrating 20 years! Join us at The Nave on November 1st to celebrate our commitment to protecting human rights in Alaska with good food, great music, and a strong community.

Over the last 20 years we've worked diligently to improve the safety of refugees, asylum seekers, crime victims, and survivors of abuse and human trafficking. We've established one of the strongest language interpretation services in Alaska and have formed relationships with ten Tribes in rural Alaska to aid them in the fight against the climate crisis. It's time to celebrate those 20 years and prepare for the next two decades.

We'll have foods representing a variety of cultures, a cash bar, and live music from the fantastic local band Sazón, "your favorite funky neo-soul band." Their words, but we don't disagree! The night will culminate with the unveiling of the winners of our silent auction. Auction items TBA.

All proceeds from ticket and auction sales will go towards ensuring that we can continue to protect human rights across Alaska. We hope that you'll join us in celebrating our 20-year history and contributing to our future. Support is needed more than ever as human rights across the country continue to be imperiled, and grant funding to protect our most vulnerable communities continues to disappear. We hope to see you on November 1st.
