Capture the beauty of glowing sunsets, shimmering water, and rich reflections in this engaging oil painting workshop.
Acrylic painters are welcome, too!
Students will explore the techniques behind creating realistic waterscapes while learning how light, color, and depth work together in a painting. Whether you're new to oil painting or looking to strengthen your skills, this class offers guided instruction in a relaxed and creative environment. Final size of painting: 16”×20”
Students Will Learn:
- Techniques for painting realistic water reflections and shimmering surfaces
- Color theory concepts for capturing vibrant sunset skies
- Ways to create depth and atmosphere within a waterscape
- Blending, layering, and brush techniques specific to oil painting
Requirements: Students must submit an approved 8" x 10" reference photo to the instructor by July 17 to use during class. If reference photo isn’t submitted before class a $10 additional fee will be added to your bill.
Materials: All other materials are included. Students choosing the $75 option must bring their own professional-quality oil paints.
