About this Event
Universal 2-K is coming to Brownsville in 2026, and many childcare providers have questions about this exciting time. United for Brownsville is hosting a forum to help providers get clear information and hear directly from city leadership.
We’re inviting family childcares, center-based providers, and others working in early care and education in Brownsville to join a conversation with Simone Hawkins, Deputy Chancellor of the Division of Early Childhood Education for New York City Public Schools, and Emmy Liss, Executive Director of the Mayor’s Office of Child Care.
This is a rare opportunity to ask questions directly and help shape how Universal 2-K is implemented in your community.
At this forum, you will
- Hear directly from NYC Public Schools and the Mayor’s Office
- Get updates on the Universal 2-K rollout
- Ask questions and raise concerns
- Connect with other providers in Brownsville
Who should attend
