Participatory Budgeting in Cayuga County: Community Ideas

As the Central New York Community Foundation sets out to celebrate 100 years, we're not just looking back; we're actively inviting you to help shape the next 100!

In September we will be marking the beginning of our centennial celebration by launching the fourth of five participatory budgeting initiatives across our service area. Cayuga County residents are invited to help decide how $75,000 will be invested in their community.

Our first 100 years built the foundation for community impact; over the next 100, we will be building that impact together with the community leading the way. We hope you join us!

Participatory budgeting brings community members together to share ideas, identify local priorities and develop solutions that reflect what matters most. These sessions are your opportunity to collaborate, connect and turn ideas into real, fundable projects.

During these sessions, you will:

  • Learn how participatory budgeting works
  • Share your ideas and experiences
  • Connect with neighbors and community leaders
  • Develop project proposals that address community needs

Transportation: If you need transportation to and from the sessions please contact Sue Van Epps, [email protected] or call 315-253-0996.
