Have you ever wanted to learn Astrology but aren’t ready to commit to a year long course just yet? Do you have a basic understanding but want to have a solid foundation of each of the signs and planets, and how to read a birth chart?
Then this 2 day astrology workshop is for you
In these 2 days we will be covering:
The 12 signs of the Zodiac
The Planets
The Nodes of the Moon
Orientation of the birth chart
The teaching method is delivered through lively, unforgettable story-telling of the archetypes, with visual presentations for visual learners, embodiment exercises for kinaesthetic learners and moments of stillness, meditation/journalling to help it all sink in.
This course is for complete beginners and for those with previous astrology knowledge who want to gain a solid foundation. Even if you have been ‘into’ astrology for years we are sure that you will learn something new as every teacher has a unique perspective on this ancient, cosmic, archetypal stream of energy.
Astrology is the study of the movements of celestial bodies and how they influence life on Earth.
This is a living, breathing, evolving science, which helps us understand our individual evolutionary journeys, and gives context to our collective journey as Humanity as it unfolds.
Your teachers:
Arthur Fairlight has been studying Astrology and reading charts for 10 years. He studied Hellenistic Astrology under Austin Coppock for 2 years, gaining a solid foundation in traditional ‘Western’ astrology. Other influences and teachers include Adam Sommer, Adam Gainsburg, Dane Rudhyar, Stephen Arroyo, Stephen Forrest, Sancya Luz.
Arthur’s gift, apart from colourful storytelling, is synthesis. The ability to take deep concepts, long planetary cycles and complex astronomical realities, distill them down and then translate them in ways which are incredibly simple and easy to understand.
Shakara Grace blends her knowledge of astrology with her deep love for the body and its wisdom. Focussing on discovering the archetypes of astrology within us and embodying them.
Shakara is driven to share the knowledge of astrology in ways that can actually land in our whole beings and not just remain at the level of the mind.
Inspirations and teachers include Daniel Sowelu, Debra Silverman, Jeffrey Wolf Green.
The course will run from 10am till 4:30pm, both Saturday and Sunday 9th-10th of May 2026.
(There will be an extra hour for questions and 1-1 time with the teachers/facilitators after 4:30pm for those who wish to stay).
A simple lunch will be served, with considerations for dietary requirements.
The course will be held in Christchurch at The Mary Potter community
