We are incredibly excited to bring families together for our very first Western Sydney Neurodivergent Playdate. This is more than just a morning out — it’s the beginning of a community built around understanding, support, and shared experience.We’re proud to be collaborating with Hapag Australia, Thriveable, and Voices of Hope by Yeou-Ling Wen to create a meaningful and memorable day for our children — and just as importantly, for their parents and carers.
Thriveable will be running engaging physical activities designed to get the children moving, exploring, and building confidence in a supportive environment.
Hapag Australia will be providing a light buffet-style brunch for families — thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, because good food and good company simply belong together.
We are also delighted that Yeou-Ling Wen will be stopping by to perform and share music with the children, inviting them to play instruments and experience an interactive, joyful musical session together.
And of course, our host, Me, Autism Dad (aka Rick),And my partner Katrina, will be setting up hands-on tuff trays and arts and crafts — creating opportunities for sensory exploration, creativity, and wonderfully messy fun.
👉 Please bring spare clothes for your child. Sensory play can get delightfully hands-on.
Our Intention
While the children are absolutely at the heart of this day, the true centre of this playgroup is the families and carers. Raising and caring for neurodivergent children can sometimes feel isolating — this space is designed to be the community around you. A place to connect, share, breathe, and feel understood.
Together, we hope to create something lasting — not just a fun morning, but the foundation of a supportive network for Western Sydney families.

• This is a free event. Please be cautious of any messages requesting payment — we will never ask for fees.
• We are not a business entity. This is a parent-run community initiative created with care and good intention.
• If you are attending, please comment with the number of adults and children coming so we can cater appropriately.
• Siblings are absolutely welcome.
• If your child or family members have allergies or dietary requirements, please leave a comment so we can plan accordingly.
• Children must remain under the supervision of their parent or carer at all times.
• Please bring picnic mats or blankets, hats, water bottles, and comfortable outdoor clothing.
