1st Annual Two-Spirit & IndigeQueer Youth Gathering

Part of the BAAITS Two-Spirit Powwow Week of Events

Join us for a powerful evening of connection, culture, and care at the BAAITS Two-Spirit & IndigeQueer Youth Gathering. A dedicated space for Indigenous and IndigeQueer youth ages 15-24 to come together in community.

Held on Thursday, February 12 from 3PM - 8PM at the SF LGBT. This gathering centers joy, visibility, healing, and cultural continuity through a vibrant and youth-centered program designed to nourish mind, body and spirit.

The evening will feature a special guest talk by Dr. Charlie Amaya Scott, along side an intergenerational elder+youth talking circle that creates space for shared wisdom, storytelling, and relational healing. Youth will be invited to participate in hands-on cultural and creative activities, including:

• Drop-In Drum Circle
• Medicine Bundle Making
• Elder+Youth Talking Circle
• DIY Tote Making
• DIY Button Making

The gathering will also include:

• Shared Dinner
• Drag Performances and Entertainment
• Resource tabling by youth-serving organizations
• Raffle Giveaway
• Rapid testing services available onsite

This event is rooted in Indigenous cosmology, queer and Two-Spirit presence, and living tradition creating a space where youth can feel seen, supported, celebrated, and connected to culture in ways that are affirming and empowering.

This gathering is part of the BAAITS Two-Spirit Powwow Week of Events, building community and collective grounding as we move toward the Powwow weekend.
